Let’s set the record straight: hustle, as we’ve come to know it, is an energy leak. We’ve been spoon-fed this idea that to succeed, we need to be “on” 24/7—wearing all the hats, doing all the things, and basically morphing into a superhuman hybrid of CEO, accountant, social media manager, and HR expert. I’ve been there, hustling like a caffeinated hamster on a wheel, and let me tell you—it’s not sustainable.

Yes, business requires grit. You have to win clients, deliver, and be adaptable. But running your life at a pace that demands you be all things to all people at all times? That’s a surefire way to watch your energy fizzle out faster than a birthday candle in a hurricane. And here’s the kicker—clients feel  it. Hustle energy repels the very people you’re trying to attract because it reeks of desperation, and no one wants to buy from someone who’s running on fumes.

Hustle Energy is Leaking Your Magnetism

When you spread yourself too thin, it’s like setting a sieve on fire—you’re leaking energy all over the place. You’re so busy *doing* that you forget about *being.* Clients can sense when you’re frantic, running on cortisol, and overextending. They don’t want to engage with someone who’s scattered. They want to work with someone who’s grounded, clear, and aligned. Hustling 24/7 doesn’t just drain you—it drains your ability to show up as the magnetic leader you really are.

You see, intention can be felt. If you’re pushing for the sale because you’re running on empty, clients feel the pressure and they bolt. The secret? Shifting your approach to H2H—human to human. Sales aren’t transactions; they’re relationships. And relationships, my friend, don’t flourish under the strain of burnout.

The Esoteric Shift: Lead Like a Human, Not a Hustler

I’m going to throw a curveball here: instead of doubling down on hustle, adopt an esoteric view of your leadership. This isn’t woo-woo—it’s business sense. When you’re tuned into yourself, anchored in who you are, you become magnetic AF. You attract clients who resonate with your energy, not your hustle. Energetics beats mindset every day of the week. You can push, hustle, grind, and still hit dead ends because you’re not in alignment. But when you align your energy, clients come to you.

Trust me, after 20 years in human behavior and HR, I’ve seen it time and time again—people buy from people, not from hustling machines. They want to feel seen and heard, not pushed through a sales funnel like an Amazon package. Lead with energy, with intention, and watch your business take off.

Burnout Isn’t a Badge of Honor—It’s a Red Flag

Speaking of pushing too hard, I’ve survived two burnouts, so I know exactly where that path leads, and it’s not to six or seven figures—it’s to a dead end. Burnout isn’t a badge of honor; it’s your body waving a big red flag saying, “STOP. Reroute. Recalibrate. Realign.” It’s not your enemy; it’s your superpower. It’s your innate wisdom, nudging you to shift direction before you hit a wall at full speed. If anxiety is creeping up, don’t see it as a sign you’re failing; see it as a signal you’re on the wrong track.

Anxiety is like your internal GPS screaming, “Turn left!” when you’re barreling toward a cliff. It’s telling you that you’re out of alignment, that you need to change course. Instead of pushing through, take it as an opportunity to recalibrate. Pause. Breathe. Realign your energy.

How to Scale with Self-Care—Yes, It’s Possible

If you want to hit six or seven figures without losing your sanity (or, y’know, your soul), you need to prioritize self-care. And I don’t mean bubble baths and spa days (though, those are nice too). I’m talking about the deeper work—setting boundaries, learning to say no, and carving out time for yourself to just be.

Here’s my best advice, and it’s going to blow your mind: stop seeing anxiety as the enemy and start seeing it as your superpower. It’s not telling you that you can’t handle what’s in front of you—it’s telling you that you’re running the wrong race. Realigning yourself and shifting out of hustle mode isn’t just a survival tactic; it’s the secret to thriving.

I’ve seen more businesses die because of burnout than because of a lack of hustle. Hustle is overrated; alignment is where the magic happens. Clients are attracted to leaders who show up as themselves—grounded, intentional, and human. So, let’s drop the 24/7 hustle and get back to what really matters: showing up as the best, most aligned version of yourself.

Because when you’re anchored into your true self, you’re magnetic AF—and that’s how you build a business that scales without setting yourself on fire in the process.
